Hello.
Thanks for stopping by. This site gives you a little information about my career as a musician and producer/engineer. You can also see some info on my studio and gear... and check out some of the projects I’ve worked on.
I‘ve recorded and or mixed nearly 250 records since 1995... with musical styles ranging from Rock to Dixieland to Bluegrass.

Goodbye Charlie... have fun up there.

I’m currently producing and recording a project for renowned acoustic guitar player David Grier. Dave’s also playing electric guitar on several cuts and is joined by Victor Wooten on bass and John Gardner on drums. Available in 07

I just finished recording a batch of demos for CMA winner Jon Randall. Shawn Camp, Sally Barris, and Jesse Alexander came in to add some vocals. Jon and Bill Anderson wrote Whiskey Lullaby... a big hit for Brad Paisley and Alison Krauss.

I also just mixed a world music project for great young jazz singer Cassie Peterson. Cassie made a trip to Peru to record several jazz vocal tunes with a Peruvian percussionist, bassist and guitar player. She recorded jazz standards using Peruvian rhythms. Pretty amazing, especially considering she is a college sophmore.

I’m currently producing a bluegrass record for Special Consensus on Pinecastle Records. Greg Cahill, Justin Carbone, Ron Spears and brand new bass player, David Thomas are about to finish up tracking and overdubs. The CD will be available in 07.

Yet another ongoing project I’m involved in... a tribute to Hazel Dickens for Rounder Records. Producer and legendary bass player Todd Phillips (Tony Rice, David Grisman) has been coming in from CA to work at my studio. So far we’ve cut tracks with Alison Krauss, Clair Lynch, Rhonda Vincent, and the Judds.

I recently finished co-producing and engineering a project for Bernhard Lackner. Bernhard is a Jazz/Fusion bassist and composer from Innsbrook Austria. We brought in Derico Watson on drums (Victor Wooten Band) and Jeff Coffin on sax (Flecktones) along with Scott Bernard on guitar and Blair Masters on keyboards. Very cool stuff.

I’m working with Bethany Dick on a pop-bluegrass project. Does that even exist? Solomon Olds from Family Force 5 is co-producing the project. Bethany is an accomplished fiddle player and singer who has toured with Sara Evans and Pam Tellis. She also wrote all the songs on this project.

I just finished recording and mixing two songs for producer and mandolin player Butch Baldasarri. The tracks will be included on the “SONGS FROM THE LITTLE HOUSE ON THE PRARIE” CD.

If you get a chance, check out “WHAT IT WAS THEY BECAME” by Keith Miles. This is a wonderful Americana project produced by Jack Sundred, bass player for Poco. We had too much fun recording this CD.

My bud and fellow engineer, Kurt Storey recently booked the studio to work on a project for Dr. Tom Butt, the singing dentist. Bob Moore, the legendary bass player who toured with Elvis for years, co-produced the CD with Kurt.
